Audi Reports June Sales Increase

Few businesses have been able to enjoy 78 consecutive months of record sales, a benchmark Audi of America recently established when June's sales performance was divulged. The company sold 19,416 vehicles throughout the month, registering a 5.3 percent increase over June 2016 sales results, as the all-new Q5 and A5 Sportback helped fuel the month's performance.

For the first half of 2017, Audi has sold 102,971 vehicles -- more vehicles than the company sold in a single year prior to 2010 -- and tallied a 6.2 percent gain over 2016's first six months.

There were 4,498 Q5 SUVs sold in June, driving the vehicle to a 17 percent sales increase for the year-to-date. The Q7 gained 19 percent over last June on 3,114 vehicles sold, and sales of the SUV are up 14 percent for the year. The Q3 jumped 1.3 percent for the month, while total Audi SUV sales have grown 14 percent for the year.

Audi sedans continue to outperform the overall sedan market, with the A4 sedan improving 7.9 percent increase in June and 16 percent for the year. Sales of the A5 coupe skyrocketed 196 percent in June, and are up 55.5 percent for the year.
